ABOUT FOOTWEAR

Footwear are the basic element of clothing’s which is one of the basic need of human beings in the present days. As we know that why the shoes were invented by the old age man as it is not concerned with the fashion or matching it up with your dress code but to protect your foot and to cover it. The history of footwear is almost 40,000 year long. And at present what we see is that this invention which was made to just cover the feet has been introduced into a practical venture which has been grown into a varied, booming industry. But all the shoe shares the same characteristic but the colour, shape and design have been transformed drastically over thousands of year in the fascinating history of footwear. And if we talk about footwear in the India as religious nation the awareness in the footwear field is not been disclosed widely as this type of work is done by the lower class people so many of them doesn’t have this option, but in modern era as the mindset of the people are changing now they want to know more about footwear which can be done it the institute like FDDI(Footwear designing and development Institute) which is under ministry of commerce has done a good efforts to make the people aware about footwear.

From archaeological  and paleoarcheological evidence, experts hypothesize that the shoes were invented around in the Middle Palaeolithic period approximately 40,000 years ago. In earliest stage the shoes were soft and made wraparound leather, and resembles either sandals or moccasin’s. And if we talk about the difference between the women and men were made in 1800’s and began to differ in style according to the gender which can be seen in style, colour, heel and toe shape. And till 1850 the shoes were made straight means their was no difference between the left and right according to the leg but as the twentieth century approached, the shoe maker improved comfort by making foot specific.

  If we talk about evidence for the existence of shoes in the image form its been found in Altamira Cave in Spain as a painting on walls. This roughly 13,000-15,000 year old cave art depicts hunters wearing boot made of animal hides and furs. Which also makes a statement strong that leather is been used for making footwear for the old ages and also been used at present which proves it to be the best natural material present today to make a footwear. But after certain researches conducted upon the legs of skeleton excavated from the Tianyuan  Cave near Peking has led scientists to conclude that human already wore shoes 40,000 years ago. According to scientist – wearing shoes creates a different kind of strain on the body than that caused by  to  If we go back some 150 year were the development started in new technique for shoe making as well lots of materials founded to make it cheap, So it can be provided and be available for every one use. And in last few decades it can been seen not only the growth of footwear industry but also growth of the footwear has .been seen. Today we can see a lots of variety of footwear with same base but differ in design, colour, shape, height, materials, etc which has been drastically changed.
